Born and raised in Budapest, Gabor Kaszas aka East Cafe has been producing intelligent progressive house and breakbeat records for the last several years now. Although he started making electronic music in the early 2000s, the real breakthrough for him came only in 2007, when Morphosis Records released his very first EP, My Island. Each and every East Cafe production has a level of refinement, detail and depth that is rarely seen in today’s progressive house landscape. His work on Silk, Per-Vurt, Spring Tube, Mistique and Morphosis is much revered by his peers and has earned him heavy club and radio support from DJs around the globe, such as like Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Nick Warren and Solarstone, just to name a few. Beside running his monthly radio shows on the internet, Gabor had the opportunity to show his unique style behind the decks at several gigs in his hometown, including Hungary’s biggest festival, Sziget. In 2014, Gabor has launched his own digital label, Time Capsule to spread the timeless beauty of progressive music.
